Sewing Slump

sewing slump

This seems to happen every year around this time… I get into a major sewing slump! The kids are busy with end of school activities which in turn has me busy fitting everything in and doing all the last minute activities before summer is in full swing. Then comes the shift in our routine to our ” summer schedule” in the next week or two. This summer seems to be gearing up to be busier than ever and it hasn’t even started yet.

Sewing time as been less and less as the month has gone on, but I am hoping to put out a tester call at the end of next week for the “Plum” Blouse. I have lots of computer time to log over the next couple of days to get the pattern ready for testing. Until that’s finished up sewing time is going to be at a minimum except for a costume for an end of school activity for X.

One thing I am going to do is try to set up a better “mini-sewing” area at my house so I can get in a little more sewing at home instead of just at the studio at least on some of the smaller projects anyways or even just a little selfish sewing to keep the skills fresh along with being relaxing.

Well one more week filled with all the end of school stuff and then we will be in summer mode and hopefully a lot more sewing and new patterns will be on the horizon!
