End of May

plum blouse peeks

Wow, May has just flown by! The past weekend has been busy, busy, busy. The “Plum” Blouse is coming along and will be headed into testing the second week of June. I have been working out a couple of last minute tweaks and working on the instructions/illustrations over the weekend. It feels good to be back at the sewing machine and getting a few things done. My WIPs are really piling up, but June is going to be my month of tackling them, I hope.

Other things that are going on in the studio include new summer patterns. My mom is going to be busy helping me sew up samples (I hope!), so I can focus on getting more patterns out over the next couple of months. I also am working on a small swim collection of patterns that I am super stoked about. They are loosely based off the swimsuits I designed for my very first fashion show way back in college! Swimwear was one of the very first things that I designed and sewed up after only being in fashion school for 4 months or so… and I really didn’t know how to sew!? Call me crazy, but I have always loved a good swimsuit 🙂

It’s also the last day to grab a copy of the “Mirabel” robe on sale while it’s the pattern of the month and tomorrow I will be announcing the June Pattern of the Month which happens to be one of the patterns that gets quite a bit of rotation in my summer wardrobe. Alright back to work I go, have a fantastic Tuesday!
