I am gearing up for this year’s Handmade Holidays: Make it. Sew it. 2015, but I thought it would be fun to look back at last year’s 7 free projects. (*You can click on the photo above to get to all the projects and click each individual photo to go directly to that project.)
The “Carson” Coffee Sleeve
These make great teacher gifts or for your coffee or tea loving friend. It’s a wonderful way to use up project scraps and those one off buttons that we can’t just seem to part with in our stash. This project is also a great assembly line style project if you need to make up a few or even a dozen.
“Merry” Gift Tags
Quick holidays labels, just print and cut! Dress up your handmade gifts with these tags.
This fleece and flannel cowl is way to keep your neck nice and cozy in the winter. These can fold up to fit in your handbag or backpack. I like to keep one in my car just in case the of an unexpected weather change. These are also fantastic to assemble assembly-line-style.
“Londen” Tote Bag
If you have a little more time on your hands this is a excellent project to sew up and fill with books, yarn, or anything for that special someone. I often use mine to haul project to and from the studio.
“Frost” Children’s Beanie
The “Frost” beanie is an awesome stocking stuffer. These are made from knits (it doesn’t take much so you can really use up some odds and ends from your fabric stash). Sew these up on a serger for an even quicker project. You can even embellish them to take them one step further.
“Holly Jolly” Printable
A fun printable to hang in your home. Frame it, clip it, or just display it in your home or even your sewing space 🙂
“Winter” Trio of Pillows
This trio of pillows is just what your living space needs for the holiday season. Quick to sew together and stuff or use pillow forms to make changeable pillows for through out the year. I love to curl up with one and a blanket while watching Christmas movies!
I hope you will join me for this year’s week of free projects coming November 15th-21st!
