Even though I designed the “Grace” summer cardigan with the hot weather in mind you can easily, transition it into fall by using heavier knits. I love the one above and plan to wear it as the weather starts to cool down. *I found the fabric over on Wanderlust Fabrics which they are out of 🙁 I am a total fabric hoarder most of the time but lately I am starting to cruise through my stash and constantly ordering more fabric. (*Idaho crazy weather provided the perfect wind machine on the day of the photo shoot, we embraced it, since the weather changes every 5 minutes it seems)
Perfect for throwing on in the morning for school drop off, the “Grace” summer cardigan is great layering piece. you can even belt it if you want. For the hem finish on this one, I did the rolled hem. and I love how it turned out. One thing to note about this pattern is that there is a lot of hem do complete, but you can easily sew it up in an afternoon!
I am on the hunt for some heavier and bulkier sweater knit to make one for the snowy days that I am sure will be here before I know it. One that I can wear while watching flag football practice and while running errands! You can find “Grace” in the shop.
