I have been plugging away, trying to organize my capsule wardrobe for fall. As well as trying to figure out what gaps I have in my wardrobe.
This has been quite an undertaking for me. I have already purged my closet. That was a huge task in itself. The only good thing is that I have lost quite a bit of weight and lots of inches in the last couple of months which has made it easy to get rid of quite a few things.
Once I finished that task it left me with sort of a random assortment of clothing. One of my goals with this is to transition to more handmade garments as well as quality over quantity. I spent an afternoon taking photos of some of the pieces that I plan on working into my fall capsule and then started playing along with the Sudoku style board (find all the details for this type of planning and starting your Fall capsule over at Free Notion). I am already starting on my next planning sheet.
My first round of planning has already proven one must have make: some sort of blazer or structured light weight coat. I am cardigan obsessed but looking at might mood board, I am going to need a little bit more structure in my outerwear choices.
Going back and forth between my closet, my inspiration board, and my mood board, I can already see some of the gaps that I need to fill in order to achieve my “dream fall/winter wardrobe” and make it work with my lifestyle.
A couple of things that I know I will be adding to my make list:
- A black jumpsuit
- A striped shirt
- A fur vest
- Leggings with leather accents
- Deep maroon tunic
- An overcoat
- Hunter Green something
