Happy Monday, everyone! I hope all those mom’s out there had a wonderful day yesterday. Mine was fantastic and my kiddos and husband and family spoiled me rotten!
Now it’s back to business as usual this week. I need to fit in a photo shoot for the latest addition to my spring/summer handmade wardrobe, a “Genavieve” out of denim (the yoke, style #1) with a galaxy print chiffon for the tunic. I have had this idea to make this one in my head since last summer and I finally managed to get it whipped up the other afternoon.
In other news, I have lots of computer work in front of me this week (formatting and grading upcoming patterns), but I have a had an idea for a new series here on the blog, From the Sewing Studio Sessions. This idea has been percolating for a bit and I am excited to bring it to life.
From the Sewing Studio Sessions will cover not only the happenings in the studio, but will have a focus on construction techniques (think hem finishes, zippers, pockets, facings, etc.), tips and tricks, favorite tools, coveted fabrics, and whole lot more! The series will officially launch later this week.
Be on the lookout for that and I would love to know if there is anything specific you would love to see featured or a technique that you would like to know more about. Leave me a comment here or send me an email at kz(at)kzjostudio(dot)com with your ideas, questions or thoughts on the new series.
