Today, I am busy working on a few household tasks (hello, laundry and mowing the lawn… yay, pollen!) and getting some of the stuff done that I put off over the weekend. For me, Monday is all about getting ready for the rest of the week: planning things for the blog, listening to podcasts, working on the new patterns, and getting those lame household chores checked off my list so I can really focus on sewing/pattern drafting for the rest of the week.
Yesterday, I decided to do a little selfish sewing in the studio aka Selfish Sewing Sunday (I think that it might become a habit). It was simply lovely. I managed to do a little mending on some pants, finish a few projects for my friend, make a pair of sleep shorts for S, do a little work on a quilt that has been in my WIPs for years now, plus I managed to add a new piece to my handmade wardrobe. Here’s a sneak peek of my new top:
One of the funny things about me is the fact that I am in love with leopard print. I had picked up this giant leopard repeating stencil on clearance at one of the craft stores without a purpose really in mind. I just knew I had to have it. I am planning on doing the photo shoot tomorrow. This tops is going to end up being in constant rotation in my wardrobe for sure.
Alright, I better get back to making a few pattern edits on the pattern drafts, so I can get them into pattern testing sooner than later! Happy Monday 🙂
