August is already over…

how did that seriously happen!? This month seemed to move at warp speed and I feel like 2014 is going to be over before I know it. On one hand I am excited for September (Autumn is my thing), but I just didn't expect August to move so fast! Here were some of the highlights:

  • Both kiddos were awesome in swimming lessons! Both little fishes in the water. I feel like both S and X really kicked it up a notch in the swimming department enough to make me think about getting a monthly membership to the local swimming pool.

  • I was part of and witnessed one of my best friends get married! It was perfectly them and I couldn't be happier for them. She has found her match and has the cutest family <3
  • The kiddos went back to school. It was bittersweet, but I know that they are both going to grow and gain so many skills, new found confidences, and a lot of amazing memories.
  • I finally released my first pattern in the world, the Genavieve! Don't worry the blog won't become full on Genavieve all the time. A sew-along is coming, but my regular posts will still be going strong. I have lots planned for the month of September.

  • Knitting and cross stitching. I am trying to make some progress with my crafty goals list before my birthday in November. I have a lot of work to catch up on.
  • Lots of sewing and sketching. I am planning on having 3 new patterns for release in October, so be on the lookout for those.

  • The crazy hail storm that demolished my garden. It was a sad day, but at least we got to eat some of the fruits of all that labor before it was destroyed.
  • A new trampoline that has already provided hours of fun for the kiddos and who am I kidding, I love, love, love jumping on the trampoline!!!
  • I made almost all of our big Autumn goals from family pictures, to the annual Halloween card, birthday parties, football, basketball, and everything in between.
