I love, love, love this almost baby size quilt (it can fit at an end of a bed as well)! As of right now I am hoarding it in my closet knowing that one day I will have the right occasion to give it away or use in a guest room or something. This one has been in the works for quite sometime. It's the first quilt that I did free motion quilting over the whole thing by my sewing machine…
that was a lesson in patience! I drew out this pattern on graph paper and had set to work. The rows are actually made with several different prints which is a little hard to see. I couldn't be happier with the outcome of this quilt.
For the backing I used one of my favorite Tula Pink prints which gets almost completely lost in the quilting 🙁 Oh, well lesson learned. I also added a row of scraps to the back for a little color pop.
My mom was also kind enough to hand sew the binding down for me, thanks mom! Overall, this became one of my favorite WIPs to finish, not only did I learn a lot in the process, I managed to end of with something that will be cherished for years to come.
