My Cup of Tea #12

Blooming

*** A series where I share one of my favorite tools, recipes, moments, or something(s) that I am in love with at the moment.***

  • So happy to see this (photo above), I managed to bring my hydrangea back from the verge of another tragic plant death (this was my fourth try!) and somehow it is a happy little lady who is blooming with these gorgeous pink edged blooms (it was blue before it lost everything and looked, ummm…. like it was a goner). Anyways, I am so happy that it is growing and dare I say, thriving! I think I am going to have to get a larger container for it before fall and transplant it, but otherwise this is so completely AWESOME!
  • InDesign and I are becoming better friends as of late, minus my crazy mouse that likes to make everything scroll at what seems like light speed and really doesn't want to come to a halt. I am working on Cutting Layout Diagrams for the Genavieve Tank Dress which puts me a little over the halfway point for finishing up the pattern instructions (I already have the instructions typed they just need to be formatted). As I have been working on the pattern I have been busy adding all sorts of fun extras (hello, measurement card!) and things that I think are going to be awesome in the long run. The Sylvia Dress will be coming out much sooner after this one is finished up, it will be awesome for fall!
  • I am so ready for fall, as in I seriously want to break out all the pumpkins, make your house smell amazing cinnamon spice, and lots of fall foliage. Plus, I am already entering the planning stages of our annual Halloween card with the kiddos (I really don't want to be rushing around last minute this year). Autumn is probably our busiest time of year with a ton of birthdays, school, sports, and favorite holidays. Of course, The Frosted Pumpkin Stitchery had to release yet another awesome smaller pattern which I am coveting! Aww, Halloween cuteness overload 🙂
  • Since summer isn't over quite yet this Cosi swimsuit pattern as caught my eye by Sew Pony Vintage and I really love the Soma swimsuit from Papercuts Patterns. Both of these patterns would be awesome for lingering well into summer's last hurrah. I haven't tried patterns from either of these companies, but they are definitely going to be added to my want list.
