A Quick Wreath DIY

So in case you haven't noticed… I pretty much love/live for holidays! With my creative energy running on high right now, I have been busy starting and get this actually finishing lots of projects. One of the projects that I came up with on a trip to the dollar store was some cute, quick wreaths!

In fact my random idea turned into three wreaths that are now all hanging up for the holiday season. Here's what you need:

Materials for Wreath

  • One bow (I went with a red glitter one, but hey if red velvet is more your thing go for it!)
  • One sprig of your choice for floral stem (I went with some sort of pine cone, red berry concoction)
  • One wreath form
  • Hot Glue
  • Wire Cutters

First up put on the bow. Mine had a twist tie back so I just picked the not-so-awesome-looking spot on the wreath form, added a dollop of hot glue, and the tied the bow on.

Cut floral stem

Next take your floral steam and cut it up into individual pieces, something like the photo in above 🙂 *keep the stems short maybe 1" to 2" inches **I also slide up all the leaves to be closer to the top, so they would fill in better.

adding pinecones

Don't worry this is almost the last step 🙂 I took my larger/bulkier pieces of floral stem (the ones with the pine cones). Played around with placement along the bottom edge of the wreath and hot glued them to it. I ended up trimming the floral stems with wire cutters almost to the leaves.

Keep adding the rest of your floral stems into the wreath! Just keep adding where ever you see fit. I do like to keep my wreaths looking balanced and tend to add things in threes or odd numbers. Once everything is added to the wreath you're done!

I ended up making 3 in less than an hour. These little wreaths add just the right amount of sparkle around our home. Hope everyone is having a wonderful start to the holidays 🙂
