This week has been mostly occupied with the whole studio clean-out, however, I did manage to whip up a couple of sewing projects expect a tutorial later this week or early next week! In between all the clean-out, entertaining a 6 year old when he didn't have school, homework, my volunteering, and any other random things that came up during the day, I was pretty well tired out by the end of the night. No matter what though I always try to relax almost the same way every night.
One of my favorite things that happens during the colder months is how simple and cozy my nighttime routine becomes unlike in the warmer months. No matter how simple it makes me feel relaxed and helps me unwind after a long day.
Right now it consists of tea and lots of it! My everyday favorites are English Breakfast, Lemon Zinger, and Bedtime Tea. In the near future I am hoping to order some tea from Davids Tea to try out in the evening (like this one or this one or this one when I have a cold). Any other tea suggestions would be awesome!
This week I worked on some cross-stitch but decided it was time to give my hands a break and went back to knitting for a bit. I cast on this hat in some clearance yarn I had picked up awhile back. The pattern is the Hemingway Hat from Wool and the Gang. So far it's been the perfect evening project for me to work on. When starting this pattern it called for a cable cast on. I had no clue what that was but after a quick google search, I learned a new way to cast on! It is by far my favorite way to cast on now. The finished edge is very nice and was actually really easy as well as fast. All this is happening while I catch up on all my guilty program watching, Hello Bravo!! Probably my favorite channel ever. Do you have nighttime routines that change with the seasons?
